World Gorilla Marathon™ envisions a bold fusion of conservation awareness, sport (running) and sustainable tourism. The marathon takes place in the bustling streets and highways of the Capital City of Uganda, “Kampala”, where the hills rise boldly, streets are alive with cheer as WGM invites you to race in a land of sincere.

 From the misty mountains and lush rainforests in Uganda (Pearl of Africa) to the bustling cities across the world; conservationists, enthusiastic athletes, and holiday adventurers from around the world, lace up their shoes with a shared purpose of safeguarding the future of endangered gorillas while amplifying global solidarity.
